Supermodel Barbara Palvin plays the lead role in a horror movie

Barbara Palvin is mostly known for her modelling career, but she has had some movie appearances. Most recently, she got a role in a horror movie.

Besides Serpentine, Palvin has appeared in some movies in the past. In 2021, she could be seen in Tyger Tyger. The movie tells the story of a selfless woman and her mute friend who kidnaps a drug addict after they rob a pharmacy. They decide to distribute the stolen medication. Later, they end up next to a psychedelic city.

Most notably, Palvin appeared in Hercules (2014). In this movie, she played Antimache. Another model got a part in the movie as well. Irina Shayk played Megara. One of the biggest names, however, was Dwayne Johnson in the role of Hercules.

Now, news is spreading about the model’s newest acting opportunity. The Hungarian model will be in the horror titled Serpentine.

According to the synopsis on IMDB, the story is about a covert snake cult that finally breaks the genetic code to bring about a new snake-human interspecies. The Hungarian model will be the lead actress in the movie. She will play a snake-human hybrid. Next to Barbara Palvin as Eve, Luke Brandon Field and Soo Joo Park will also be seen on screen. Luke Brandon Field will play Severus, and Soo Joo Park got the role of Saite. The movie was directed by Eva Dolezalova. She is an award-winning Czech director, screenwriter, and producer.

The short movie’s release date is February 5. Serpentine will also be featured at a festival.

 

As Variety wrote, Mammoth Film Festival announced its 2022 lineup. The festival will feature Serpentine, directed by Eva Dolezalova and starring Barbara Palvin. The event will also mark directorial debuts from Nina Dobrev (The One) and Jenna Ushkowitz (The Dinner Party). Another short movie featured at the festival will be Boys. This movie was directed by Luke Benward and produced by Ariel Winter and Sterling Beaumon.
