Bernd Storck names provisional squad ahead of World Cup qualifier
Hungary head coach Bernd Storck has named 27 players in his provisional squad to train together at the national-team training centre in Telki from 19th March ahead of Hungary’s latest 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier versus Portugal in Lisbon six days later.
The names were announced in two stages with domestically-based call-ups announced last week so that they can arrive at Telki on Monday 13th March after the last round of NBI league fixtures before the international break. This group included potential debutants in the forms of striker Márton Eppel of Honvéd, Debrecen midfielder Dávid Holman and Videoton’s Brazilian-born Paulo Vinicius, the latter of whom only became eligible to play for Hungary last week after receiving his Hungarian citizenship.
