In April of this year, 37-year-old Zsófia P. Mária Mária disappeared from her mother’s apartment in District II to an unknown location, and after she did not report her disappearance. Her disappearance was reported to the police and a post about her search was shared in several groups on social media.
She was found dead
Days later, a closed group on the Internet reported that the woman had been found dead. The police said at the time that the body of a 37-year-old woman had been identified on 17 April and that the police were investigating the circumstances of the death as part of an administrative procedure.
She had recently moved home
According to people who knew the well-off mother, her disappearance and subsequent death is completely incomprehensible: she had been living and working abroad for years and had recently moved back to the capital. The woman had previously studied at Pázmány Péter Catholic University, and her disappearance was a topic of discussion in the institution’s alumni group. Later, everyone was shocked to learn of her death.
