True winter weather is finally back, snowy days and minus degrees are expected in most parts of the country.
Snowfall to come
According to the forecast of the National Meteorological Service (OMSZ), snowfall can be expected mostly in Western Hungary and along the Danube on Saturday, but light snowfall can also reach other parts of the country, says naphire.hu.
Saturday afternoon, we can expect clouds in most parts of the country, along with several hours of sunshine, though. Meanwhile, more, thicker clouds may arrive over the northeastern, eastern counties, so it may snow again. The northwestern wind will be strengthened in many places and may cause real storms in some places.
Snowstorms and minus 8
Snowstorms may occur mainly in the higher parts of Western Hungary and along the north-eastern border. The highest daytime temperatures are expected to be between -1 and +5 degrees Celsius. By late evening, the air will cool down to between -1 and -8 degrees Celsius.
The OMSZ predicts that the sky will also get cloudy on Sunday. In some places, the air may become humid, and mist may form in certain places. In the cloudy parts, snowfall and light snow should be expected.
