Budapest Airport expects at least 233,000 passengers for holiday season
Budapest, November 26 (MTI) – Budapest Airport expects to have at least 233,000 passengers between December 20 and January 1, around 11 percent more than in the same period last year, Mihaly Hardy, director of communications for Budapest Airport said on Thursday.
Based on early reservations passenger numbers should pick up starting from December 15, growing until the afternoon on December 24 and then have the biggest surge on December 28 and 29.
The daily number of passengers is expected to average 18,000-25,000 during the holiday season.
The most popular flights in this period are the ones heading to “traditional” destinations like London, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Rome.
