Fantastic! Budapest Airport shuttle to commute more frequently from October
From 1 October, Budapest Airport shuttle 100E, connecting the downtown with Budapest Airport, will commute more frequently on the busiest days. In the morning, more buses will carry passengers from Budapest to the airport, while in the afternoon, the frequency will increase for passengers hurrying to the downtown.
According to bkk.hu, the transport frequency of airport shuttle 100E will increase from October on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays compared to autumn 2023. The new schedule will enter into effect next Tuesday.
Airport shuttle 100E carries passengers between the Liszt Ferenc International Airport and the Deák Ferenc Square, in the heart of Budapest. The bus line operates 24/7 and the airport expects more tourists than last autumn.
Budapest Airport shuttle: 6-7 minutes instead of 8-9 minutes
Therefore, the increased frequency we got used to in the summer will remain on Mondays and Fridays. As a result, buses will commute every 6-7 instead of 7-8 minutes from the airport and the Deák Ferenc Square final stations. On Sunday, bus frequency will increase to every 6-7 minutes instead of every 8-9 minutes. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 100E frequency will remain at 8-9 minutes, while on Saturdays, it will increase to 10 minutes.
You may purchase the shuttle bus tickets in the BudapestGO app, the vending machines of BKK and the customer service offices of the transport company. Check out the closest purchase place on BKK’s map HERE.
