Major Budapest bridge to be closed on Friday night

The Széchenyi Chain Bridge in Budapest will be closed on Friday night due to preparations for a film shoot, the Budapest Transport Center (BKK) announced. The closure will take place from midnight until 5 AM on Saturday.
During this time, the 916 and 990 night bus routes will follow a detour, travelling via the Erzsébet Bridge. These buses will not stop at the Deák Ferenc Square, Hild Square, or Széchenyi István Square intersections. Instead, temporary stops will be set up near the Várkert Bazár at the tram replacement stop, and between Döbrentei Square and Ferenciek Square, the buses will use the stop normally served by the 5 bus. This temporary alteration will affect night travel across central Budapest, as the Chain Bridge is a key connection for local and tourist traffic.
