Budapest International Film Festival kicks off this week

The 2nd Budapest International Film Festival (BIFF) will present 36 films in over 50 screenings at Budapest’s Corvin Cinema between October 25 and November 2, organisers said in a statement on Sunday.

The festival programme will include films from other international festivals as well as “experimental works by contemporary makers“. The festival’s retrospective section will feature films “presenting the many aspects of the home and the controversial desire of coming home,” the organisers’ statement said.

The films will be screened in their original language, with Hungarian or English subtitles.
