Budapest’s biggest open-air concert venue opens with Scooter
The 2016 season of Budapest Park opens on 28 April, and the five year old concert venue has Scooter on the very first weekend, origo.hu writes. Brains and the Balázs Szabó Band will also give concerts on the opening weekend between 20 and 30 April.
The Balázs Szabó Band will perform on the first day, 28 April, and they are followed by Brains, the Hungarian heroes of drum and bass, who have previously worked with stars like Sian Evans, singer of Kosheen. The band also has a brand new song for the opening.
It’s going to be the third time that H. P. Baxxter’s band, Scooter will give a concert in the Budapest Park. The band, which was formed in 1993, just released its 18th studio album in February, but visitors will also hear many of the old songs such as How much is the Fish?, Endless Summer, or Fire.
Scooter is not the only big star performing in Budapest Park this season; several other bands and singers will also have concerts, such as Billy Talent on 7 June, Zaz on 22 July, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley on 30 August, and Thomas Anders from Modern Talking on 17 September.
