Shocking attack: Bus driver stabbed while driving in Hungary

A driver was stabbed while driving his bus in Komárom-Esztergom County. The victim had previously reported to his employer that a disorderly person had threatened to cut his throat.

A blatant attack was reported by one of the largest bus unions on its social media page on Saturday morning (since then, the post has been deleted, for unknown reasons). The Solidarity Bus Transport Trade Union (Szolidaritás Autóbusz-közlekedési Szakszervezet, SZAKSZ) reported that

a driver was stabbed while working.

The SZAKSZ does not say when exactly the atrocity happened: however, it does say that the incident took place in Komárom-Esztergom County, during a shuttle service, when a man stabbed their driver colleague in the leg, Világgazdaság writes.

The victim had previously reported that a disorderly person had threatened to cut his throat. “What has now happened is what the driver has brought to the attention of the employer and asked for help, although his throat was not cut, he was stabbed in the thigh by the person who has been constantly threatening our driver colleague,” said the union.

  1. This is appalling news. I thought I had left this nonsense behind

I do hope that the driver gets well soon and recovers well

Shocking to hear when I consider Hungary to be so safe.
