Warning: Busiest Budapest tram line changes service
The Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) announced on Thursday that the service of tram No. 6 and bus No. 15 will change in the Hungarian capital.
Budapest tram and bus services change
According to BKK, from Tuesday 2 July to Sunday 7 July, a replacement bus will operate on Karinthy Frigyes Road in District XI instead of tram No 6 due to tram track maintenance, Portfolio reports.
According to the information, trams 4-6 will run on tram line 4 between Széll Kálmán tér and Újbuda-központ. On the independent section of tram No 6, on Karinthy Frigyes Road, a tram replacement bus with the number 6 signal will run between Móricz Zsigmond körtér and Petőfi híd, budai hídfő.
BKK recommends using the M4 metro line for those heading to the city centre.
They also announced that the service of bus 15 will be changed during the construction of utilities at Egyetem Square from Monday 1 July until the end of October.
From Monday, 1 July, bus No 15 will run on the Kiskörút between Kálvin Square and Erzsébet Square, diverted towards Gyöngyösi Street: the stops at Ferenciek Square and Szervita Square will not be affected, while it will stop at the Óbuda-bound stops of bus No 9 at Kálvin Square, Astoria and Deák Ferenc Square, BKK said.
