CPAC Hungary conference will be held in early May
The right-wing in Hungary is punching above its weight, the head of the Center for Fundamental Rights said ahead of the CPAC Hungary conference to be held on May 4-5.
“Our sovereignty must be asserted while building global alliances,” Miklós Szánthó said in an interview published by mandiner.hu on Monday.
Commenting on the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference, he said the Hungarian event was the only European CPAC that was a big draw for the world’s major right-wing figures.
Right-wingers around the world, he said, increasingly realised that the time had passed to play by the rules of liberals, and the time had come for national forces to act on their ability to cooperate on the world stage.
The idea of the trinity of God, homeland, and family as pillars of civilisation was shared “from the Potomac to the Danube”, Szánthó said, adding that the progressive left was attacking precisely this idea.
But such attacks only served to reinforce right-wingers in their convictions, he added, noting that family and child protection were central themes of CPACs in Washington, Tokyo, Mexico City and Sao Paulo.
The think-tank head said
“wokeness” and “gender ideology” were kinds of “mental illness”.
Meanwhile, he said the importance of protecting the integrity of Ukraine “cannot be overestimated” in terms of ensuring that the region never lives under the shadow of the Russian threat again. But, he added, the question should be raised as to what kind of West “we want to offer Kyiv” as an alternative.
Referring to the upcoming CPAC Hungary event, Szánthó said two incumbent prime ministers, two former prime ministers, four party heads, two congressmen, “former and future senators”, as well as “countless representatives from Europe, and politicians and journalists from South America to Israel” would attend.

The people of the EU are envious of the stability of the country. Many realize that only conservatism will save their countries and save the EU Parliament from corruption. Presently, the globalists get richer, and the middle class gets poorer. Liberalism does not work. Many policies have been copied from the communist’s system like the lack of free speech. It is amazing that the citizens of the so-called liberal democracies are flocking to Hungary for holidays because they feel safe there. All conservatives are welcome and hope they will be able to demonstrate that conservatism is the best way to govern.
So, lets see. First Victor hangs out with Trump, who is now on trial for rape. Then he hangs out with Putin, who is accused of war crimes. Then he hangs out with Tucker, who was thrown out of Fox for being a white nationalist anti semite. Now he will hang out with Matt, who is currently accused of groping a young man and inviting him back to his hotel room. WAKE UP HUNGARY!
Prime Minister Orban has never hung out with any foreign leader. Conservative leaders have a lot in common and support and should support each other. Hungarian government officials should not be at war with President Putin. It is Russian gas that heats Hungarian homes and Russian gasoline powers Hungarian cars. Naive people do not understand that a Prime Minister and a National Government’s only purpose is to server the citizens and to improve the citizens’ standard of living.

All conservative leaders should support each other. It makes sense for Hungarian politicians to support conservative leaders. Pictures of Mr. Trump and Mr. Orban show that conservatism is universal and has served well the population at large for a long time. There are more pictures of Mr. Orban hanging out at soccer matches rather than with other government leaders.
Mr. Carlson is a true conservative. There is no way, Mr. Carlson would have come to Hungary if he was not curious why a small, insignificant country was condemned by western liberal media while countries with real bad dictators get a pass. Mr. Carlson probably appreciated a country where law and order is the rule of the day. Hope Mr. Carlson has enjoyed himself.
