Create your own story with the new free Prezi app: ’Nutshell’ – VIDEO

Change language:
The most widely known Hungarian startup company, Prezi has just released a new application, Nutshell, which is free and available for iPhone and iPad, reports origo.hu. The main aim of the app is to enable users to create stories with creative effects.
Prezi is known for their presentation software, which has been in the focus of development, but as Ádám Somlai-Fisher told origo, the company had been working on other projects as well and Nutshell is the first one that will be accessible for a wider audience. The co-founder admits that the app resembles some popular video applications like Vine or Hyperlapse, but Nutshell concentrates on storytelling rather than video recording.
The program is easy to use: you have to snap three “photos” (which are actually videos) and add captions, animations or short texts to your story – this will be the basis of your video. The story itself is generated by the program, which freezes the scenes which are complemented with captions or images.
In order to make the app user-friendly, developers had to automatize each process of video editing. For example, if a scene looks better zoomed in, Nutshell will spare you the work and zoom for you.
There is an algorithm for speeding up, slow-motion and plenty other techniques as well, so you do not have to be an expert in video editing to create a story. The size of each clip is 480×480 pixels, and 10 minutes and you can share it on Facebook and many other social media sites.
