Stunning aerial videos of Badacsony

Norbert Varga uses his experience as a photographer to shoot aerial videos around Lake Balaton, sokszinuvidek.24.hu writes.

His videos feature beautiful shots of Lake Balaton, Badacsony and the surrounding areas, including the town of Tapolca, which is famous for its 3000-metre-long lake cave system. The 437-metre-high Badacsony on the northern shore of the lake is the biggest mountain of the Tapolca region, and one of the most iconic sights of Balaton.

The mountains in the region are the results of volcanic activity. The surrounding valleys were formed by erosion, which left the volcanic mountaintops untouched. Today, these mark where the level of the surface was 4 million years ago. The soil is excellent for grape cultivation, and wine production in the area dates back to the Roman times.

The Káli Basin, north of Badacsony, is part of the Balaton Uplands National Park, with an incredibly diverse flora and fauna.
