Szijjarto rejects German vice chancellor criticism
Prague, September 11 (MTI) – Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has rejected criticism by German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel that Hungary does not keep to international laws in its handling of migrants.
“We reject this outrageous and nonsensical accusation. In accordance with international laws, we look after each and every migrant who enters Hungary,” Szijjarto told MTI’s correspondent in Prague on the sidelines of crisis talks between the foreign ministers of the Visegrad countries, Germany and Luxembourg. “Anyone who claims otherwise is lying,” he said. Szijjarto said migrants in Hungary’s refugee camps receive food, water, medical care and access to hygiene facilities on a consistent basis, in line with international conventions.
The foreign minister noted that Gabriel was recently asked by German public service television ZDF why Germany “violates EU rules by letting in migrants from Hungary” to which the vice chancellor responded that it is the countries which for months had not been registering migrants, but had instead simply sent them on to Germany, that were in breach of the rules. Gabriel said that member states that “do not keep to their own responsibilities on asylum”, such as Hungary, who has signed the Geneva Convention and still subjects migrants to “disturbing conditions”, had also violated EU law.
Gabriel said Germany faced the choice of “looking on as violence erupts between migrants and Hungarian authorities on the Austrian border” while human smugglers continue to make money by putting people in danger or killing them, or “saying no” and trying to take in some of the refugees.

I sincerily hope Germany will in the very near future apologize for criticizing
Hungary, latest when the security fence to Serbia will bear fruits for the security
and chaos in the EU-countries(especially for Germany). Remember my words when
Mr. Orban visits Germany to meet politicians of CSU in the next weeks.
.
This is the time when the V4-countries have to stand together and be strong. I worked a few years in Hungary and I love the country and its people. This is why my heart is bleeding to see that Hungary has turned into a welcome scapegoat for any western “Gutmensch” who needs someone to spit on. Anyone with a bit of common sense must see that the mass immigration is a danger to all of Europe. The western part of the EU is lost, so it might be the V4 who will have to carry the European legacy. Let´s stay united and resist the pressure to be Brussel´s blind “useful idiot.”
