Day tickets to travel around Lake Balaton and the Bakony

Just like last year, two kinds of day tickets, Balaton24 and Balaton72, are available for tourists at Lake Balaton and its surroundings.
Balaton24 and Balaton72
As MÁV-Start reported, from Friday, 15 April, day tickets are available again at Lake Balaton and Bakony, which are valid not only on trains but also on buses. More than 30,000 people travelled with the day tickets in the last sales period, according to the article of turizmus.com.
According to kisalfold.hu, it was highlighted that Balaton24 and Balaton72 entitle you to an unlimited number of trips around Lake Balaton. These schemes also offer a good deal for those already staying at Lake Balaton to visit the tourist attractions available on the lakeshore. Last year, more than 29,000 tickets were purchased.
Renewed tickets
This year’s Balaton24 and Balaton72 tickets are also valid on Volánbus services on the eastern shore of the lake. This means that you can use them to travel around Lake Balaton and, as they can be used on Volánbus lines that run parallel to the railway line on the lakeshore, we can even use them to get to Tihany.
Balaton24 and Balaton72 tickets can be purchased every day from 15 April to 1 November.
