Explosion in Budapest, warehouse building burnt extensively – PHOTOS

According to reports posted on social media, explosive booms were heard in the capital late on Tuesday evening, followed by dense smoke rising from the area south of the Újpest Thermal Power Plant, Index reports.
According to a statement of the National Directorate General of Disaster Management, a fire broke out in a warehouse in Elem Street, in the 4th district of Budapest. The property was burning in its entirety.
The capital’s professional firefighters extinguished the flames with three water jets under the direction of the disaster management operational service, they added. By 11:45 PM, the fire had been contained.
