Famous YouTuber accuses notable Budapest hotel of scam: is he right? – VIDEO
Renowned travel vlogger Karl Rock has claimed that his parents fell victim to a scam at a 4-star Budapest hotel.
Vlogger’s parents scammed in Budapest hotel?
According to the YouTuber, after checking out, his parents received an unexpected extra charge of HUF 20,000 (EUR 50) labelled as a cleaning fee, Pénzcentrum writes. Rock returned to the hotel to confront staff, who explained that the cleaning crew had found human faeces in the shower, backed by a photo—though the timing and location of the image remain unclear.
Rock’s parents had already expressed dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of their room, and he suspects that the alleged charge was retaliatory due to their complaints. Despite the Budapest hotel staff’s claims, Rock’s parents deny any such incident occurred.
In his latest video, which has garnered significant attention, Rock has committed to further investigating the matter, even though he didn’t reach a resolution during his initial inquiry, as the hotel’s manager was unavailable.
