Fountain on Margaret Island plays music again after years of silence
The Music Fountain on Margaret Island has been revived! After several years of being silent, the fountain entertains visitors with music again.
The Music Fountain sings again
At the beginning of the year, the staff of FŐKERT repaired the Music Fountain. It had been silent for several years. But now, the music typical of the turn of the century can be heard again every hour, Travelo reports. What is more, the Neptune statue on top of it spins around again, FŐKERT reported the news on its Facebook page.

Short history
The Music Fountain, or less commonly known as the Bodor Fountain, is named after the Szekler handyman Péter Bodor. He built the original version of this fountain in Târgu Mures in the early 1820s. That fountain no longer stands, having been demolished in 1911, Travelo writes. A replica was built in 1936 on the northern part of Margaret Island. This is the one that, after years of silence, is now entertaining the public with music again.
