Swiss wolf made an incredible journey to Hungary before being shot by a hunter
In the space of a year, the wolf has migrated from Switzerland to Hungary. Although it didn’t bother anyone along its nearly 700-kilometre journey, now the wolf, named M237, has been shot.
Wolf migration
We’ve previously reported that a wild wolf had migrated from Switzerland to Hungary. The animal was even spotted in the vicinity of Budapest.
At the end of March, before leaving Nógrád, the majestic beast also passed by the wolf-watching cameras of the Bükk National Park Directorate (BNPI).
Boon.hu reports that a hunter shot the wolf near Hidasnémeti in Hungary. Police have so far been unable to confirm or deny the information, but the National Bureau of Investigation has launched a case.
