Kit Harington, one of the lead actors from the fantasy series Game of Thrones, is currently in Budapest, and rather than spending his downtime in his hotel room, he’s out exploring Hungary’s vibrant capital. Recently, the dragon-taming star was spotted at a sandwich and coffee shop beside Szent István Park.

“Winter is coming,” said Jon Snow, before taking a bite of our ham and cheese sandwich on Pozsonyi Street. Whether Kit Harington travelled to Budapest just for this, we’ll leave to your imagination. 😁 “It’s definitely worth popping in!” the sandwich shop, Sarki Fűszeres, located at 53-55 Pozsonyi Road near Szent István Park, shared on their social media.

The 38-year-old British actor isn’t in Budapest purely for adventure, but for work. Like Zendaya, Anya Taylor-Joy, Rami Malek, and Russell Crowe, he’s filming his latest series here. Production for “A Tale of Two Cities” began in September. The new BBC One drama is based on Charles Dickens’ classic novel of the same name.
According to Szeretlek Magyarország, staff at Sarki Fűszeres immediately recognised Harington, and plenty of selfies quickly followed—one of which the sandwich shop joyfully shared online.
Zendaya, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Travis Fimmel also discovered Budapest
It’s not just Harington who has recently graced Budapest. Over the summer, numerous Hollywood stars paid visits to the city. Zendaya and Anya Taylor-Joy arrived to film the third instalment of Dune, Messiah. Zendaya has since been spotted visiting a perfumery, meeting fans on the street, receiving an affectionate kiss from a dog, and sampling food at various restaurants.
