Good news: This important foodstuff is cheaper in Hungary from today!
A major supermarket chain is reducing the price of cheese in Hungary after butter. ALDI is offering cheese products 20-23 percent cheaper from 1 March.
From 1 March, ALDI will offer its Hungarian trappista cheeses at 20-23 percent lower prices, depending on the product, Forbes.hu reported. Thanks to the situation on the international and Hungarian dairy markets, the company already reduced the price of its most popular butter products by a significant 20 percent at the beginning of February. Now, it will offer trappista cheese at a significantly and permanently lower price from today. The price change also affects the lactose-free versions.
The list of products and their new price:
- 1 kg Tolle Trappista cheese: from HUF 4790 to HUF 3790 (EUR 12.8 to EUR 10.12)
- ALDI’s own-brand Kokárdás Trappista cheese: from HUF 3890 to HUF 2990 (EUR 10.4 to EUR 8)
- 700 gram own-brand Milfina Trappista cheese: from HUF 3299 to HUF 2599 (EUR 8.8 to EUR 6.95)
- Same cheese, lactose-free version: from HUF 3790 to HUF 2999 (EUR 10.13 to EUR 8)
- Own-brand Milfina 400-gram chunk cheese: from HUF 1999 to HUF 1599 (EUR 5.33 to EUR 4.26)
