Hamas released Hungarian hostages!

Hamas released another group of hostages on Sunday, two Hungarian children among them, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said on Facebook.

Together with the woman released on Saturday, all three Hungarian hostages falling under the agreement between Israel and Hamas — the women and children — have been freed, he said. “I thanked my Qatari colleague for aiding the release of Hungarian hostages as they promised earlier,” Szijjártó said.

The two girls, 8-year-old Ella and 15-year-old Dafna Eljakim, are dual citizens with a Hungarian mother. Their father’s family was killed when Hamas attacked southern Israel in early October.

A Hungarian woman is among the hostages Hamas released on Saturday, who is now safe in Israel, Péter Szijjártó, the minister of foreign affairs and trade, said late on Saturday. Szijjártó said on Facebook he had thanked the government of Qatar for its mediation, and expressed hope that the release of hostages would continue.

“We remain in constant contact with Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, Qatar’s state minister for foreign affairs, and will continue to publish the information we get as we have done before,” Szijjártó said.

  1. How dare hamas take Hungarian children (or any other Hungarian citizen) hostages, or any other child or noncombatants? How dare hamas commit such atrocities on innocent Israeli and other country’s citizens? Israel left Gaza in 2005. All the misery that terrorist supporting palestinians suffered was due to their elected government. Palestinians have only themselves to blame for conditions in the Gaza. Hamas should be irredicated.

  2. To anyone who supports Hamas, ask yourself what kind of people start a war by kidnapping children, women and the elderly in order to obtain some advantage?
