The five-star Hard Rock Hotel Budapest has finally opened its doors. Check out these breathtaking photos.
Hard Rock Hotel Budapest
The five-star Hard Rock Hotel Budapest has 136 rooms and suites, two restaurants, and a rooftop event venue. The HRHB opened as the first hotel of the Hard Rock chain in Central Europe on Nagymező Street. The location is excellent, the hotel is just a stone’s throw away from “Broadway in Budapest”.
As we can read in the article of turizmus.com,
the pride of the Budapest hotel is its collection of more than 50 personal items from the biggest names in music and entertainment, including personal items from world stars.
The Hard Rock Chain
Founded in 1971, Hard Rock International is now present in 68 countries in nearly 250 locations, including Hard Rock Cafes, hotels, casinos, and rock shops, the hotel chain reported. Jon Lucas, Chief Operating Officer of Hard Rock International, said the following about opening hotels in Europe:
“We are proud to have built on our success by opening a number of hotels in Europe recently, spreading our renowned hospitality. The Hard Rock Hotel Budapest is a wonderful fit in this diverse city, which also boasts a rich history, architectural style, unique cuisine, and modern nightlife.”
As magyarepitok.hu reports, the hotel was built by SWITELSKY Magyarország Kft. The building’s facade combines the beauty of historic Budapest with an exclusive, modern design. The hotel aims to be a true lifestyle hotel, offering its guests a fulfilling musical and visual experience.
The collection
The pride of the Budapest hotel is its collection of more than 50 personal items from the world’s biggest stars in music and entertainment.
Prince’s bright purple faux fur coat, a black sequin dress by Beyoncé, a handwritten letter by Freddy Mercury, John Lennon’s notebook, Katy Perry’s performance dress, and Madonna’s high school yearbook
are among the many items on display in the hotel’s lobby and upstairs corridors, according to turizmus.com.
As part of the “memorabilia” collection, three Hungarian legends’ items can be found in different parts of the hotel: János Bródy’s leather jacket, Charlie Horváth’s conga and sunglasses, and Róbert Szikora’s first guitar.
The design
As magyarepitok.hu reported, an important aspect of the design was to connect the interiors of the hotel to the visual culture of Budapest, so
the gemstone effect tiles and terazzo tiles in the interiors are inspired by local colours and pay homage to Hungary’s famous spas and thermal baths.

Just to be absolutely clear about this: the original Hard Rock Cafe was in London, along a street called Piccadilly. It is still there. People think that it is/was American. It was not, but now with franchises here there and everywhere, it is just a name. But remember, dear readers, it was started in London. See below:
