Last week, Katinka Hosszú pledged her eternal loyalty to her current coach, Máté Gelencsér in the Szentendre Skanzen. Here are the first official photos of the event!
The three-time Olympic, nine-time world and 15-time European champion Hungarian swimmer Katinka Hosszú shared her happiness with her followers. The Hungarian Iron Lady pledged her eternal loyalty to her current coach, Máté Gelencsér in the Szentendre Skanzen. The couple met in 2019, after the swimmer broke up with her previous husband, Shane Tusup. After the difficult divorce, the Hungarian swimmer did not expose her private life to the public. But now we can be sure that the newlyweds are happier than ever. In the photos shared by Katinka, the couple’s unconditional happiness is clearly visible. True love is reflected in their sparkling looks. Despite the cloudy weather on the day of the wedding, the couple’s euphoria and unmatched elegance made the event even more atmospheric than expected. In her post, the swimmer just jokingly said: „yesss 🙂 here comes the storm 🙂 ” – reported by nlc.
The celebrity said “I do” to Máté Gelencsér in the Szentendre Skanzen, but the details of the big event were carefully kept secret from the outside world.
The newlyweds are both great fans of swimming. Katinka’s superhuman success is known by all of us. Few may know that Máté Gelencsér also started his career as a swimmer, and later started modelling. The newlyweds have been a couple since 2019, and got engaged a year and a half later, in January 2022. At the time, Katinka Hosszú said she did not have her wedding dress, but she was sure it would be “beautiful, clean and elegant”. And so it was.
As the Hungarian news portal Femcafé reports, the wedding of the two celebrities was attended by the best Hungarian swimmers, including Dániel Gyurta, Szebasztián Szabó, Dávid Verrasztó, Evelyn Verrasztó, Dénes Kemény, former captain of the men’s national water polo team and Sándor Wladár, president of the swimming federation. About the post-wedding party, no information has come to light, as the couple asked their guests to be completely discreet and not to share photos of it on Social Media.
