Huge success for PM Orbán? Tens of billions of euros may come to Hungary soon

Hungary cannot access billions of EU development and RRF funds because Brussels froze those monies due to rule of law concerns. But it seems PM Orbán may get at least EUR 10 billion from the frozen assets, and the European Commission may approve that in December. That would mean the Hungarian prime minister and his party get a boost before the 2024 municipal and European Parliament elections.

According to the information of Szabad Európa, EU officials believe Hungary will get EUR 10 billion in cohesion funding in December.

Hungary is entitled to EUR 21.7 billion from that bag in the 2021-2027 period. However, the European Commission refused to grant that money because they found the Hungarian judiciary system is not independent. Therefore, they demanded reforms and seem to accept at least part of them soon. The first euro millions may start to flow into Hungary from February.

The European Commission might approve that EUR 10 billion in their 13 December session. They are expected to state that Hungary meets the horizontal eligibility criteria for cohesion funding. Another scenario is that the EC gives that opinion in writing.

That comes after the Hungarian government informally presented their solutions to the two remaining EC concerns related to the independence of the Hungarian judiciary system. Though the EC is evaluating these currently, Szabad Európa wrote that only technicalities are left before the Commission lifts the ban on euro transfers.

Billions of euros remain in Brussels

Meanwhile, the Commission will present the annual report about the rule of law measure against Hungary initiated last December. They will probably say that no considerable change happened concerning the 21 key prerequisites or super milestones. We wrote about them in THIS article.

Szabad Európa wrote that Hungarian EU minister János Bóka and his EC counterpart, Didier Reynders, would meet today in Brussels. The meeting means negotiations reached their goal.

If the EC accepts the Hungarian reforms, Hungary can get EUR 10 billion. However, Brussels will withhold the remaining 11.7 billion because of the EC’s rule of law concerns and three horizontal eligibility criteria (LGBTQ rights, independence of scientific life and migrant rights).

The Hungarian government already submitted a claim for EUR 500 million. In the first place, that money will be transferred to Budapest in February. But it might happen that millions of euros will arrive before the end of this year. Anyway, that money and the agreement will boost Hungary’s economy and the election campaign of Orbán and his party before the 2024 municipal and European parliamentary elections.

You want money from the eu,but why does hé not work first ,that all the company s in hungarian are so corrupt ,because the insureance company s wil help the hungarian People ,but they won’t help the foreigner People,, and then they say hungarian is now okay,no it is getting worse every yyea.they discriminate every time more,so they don t deserve this money from the eu

Orban has been simple been the Incinerator of the Hungarian name, its membership of the European Union.
The Orban led Government, have “played” the high risk games, “cheating” the European Union, proven in the court of the European Union, and just, signed off by Orban, continue there aggressive attack, the de-framing or reputation, its need to Europe and it’s member country’s of the European Union.
Orban, the longer millions of Hungary’s population have permitted him to walk ALL over them, strip away, dismantling DEMOCRACY in Hungary, moving continually to-wards relationships with Russia & China, and away from the Membership of the European Union, it’s law’s of the practice of Democracy, and all other country’s in Europe and Globally, under the governance of DEMOCRACY, that see’s Orban and his Government, leading Hungary in the Dictatorial manner in Hungary to-day.
Hungary, has not fulfilled ALL the European Union matters pertaining to the Rules of Law requirements, which came about by the Hungarian Government, under “orders” from Orban, got caught out “playing” immoral games.
Orban, as long as his name has any association signature or other requirements in Hungary’s “wobble” place of membership of the European Union, the attitude from Brussels rightly on Hungary, will be they get nothing, or possible, maybe, put on a very slow “drip” system of funding.
There will no FAVOURS from the European Union to Hungary, through the “games” acted out played out by Victor Orban.

The process adapted by Orban, carried out over 14 years in power, the wedge he has driven into Hungary, the gargantuan divide, of Hungary, of the Rich that continue to get Richer, and the Poor, in thousands, that grows, get Poorer.
Russia, the symbol, originating as a communist image, the “Hammer & Sickle” are these “favoured” tools for use on Hungary, by Orban and on on Democracy ?
The Family, the Christmas Eve dinner or Christmas Day lunch of Hungarians, a time of year that traditionally historically, should be a joyous family celebration, through this wedge, the cataclysmic decline on-going of the Hungarian Economy, and across broadsheet Financial & Economic componentry of Hungary, the number, in there thousands, that has grown over the past 12 months, that through the rapidness decline in the quality of there lives, this time of year, the joy & celebration of coming together as family, as a country in Hungary, will be Melancholy.
Cost of living, the inability in thousands possible into millions, the meal, there Christmas meal, on there plates humongous, in it’s impact of effect, that thousands of Hungarian dinners/lunches have disappeared, by the place, the ugly and dull place, it’s nadir remains un-known to us at this point in time, that Victor Orban, the Government he lead’s, they have taken our country Hungary, at this Christmas time or Christ Time.
