Huge success: two Hungarian hotels among the best in the world – PHOTOS

Two Budapest hotels, Bagatelle Gardenhouse and Baltazár, have been named among the top 50 hotels in Europe by National Geographic Traveller.

Baltazar Hotel

Located in the Buda Castle District in the centre of Budapest, Baltazár has only 11 rooms, but they are all individually decorated, including luxury rooms and suites. Centrally located yet in a peaceful environment, the hotel is close to historic buildings, museums and public transport hubs.

Each room has its own unique atmosphere, furnished with original vintage and modern furniture, complemented by the highest level of comfort and technology, index.hu reports.

There is even a cobbled terrace which can be enjoyed when the weather is good. Gastronomy plays a big role in the restaurant owned by the Zsidai Group. In the vibrant restaurant, dishes are prepared on charcoal grills. Gourmet street food, vegetarian dishes, great flavours and unique ingredients..

Bagatelle Gardenhouse

Not only Baltazár, but also Bagatelle Gardenhouse is on the list. The magazine highlights the design and art of the hotel, and of course, the garden that features in its name.

The gastronomy here is also unmissable: there is a famous breakfast restaurant and a confectionery. The 6 individually designed rooms can be rented separately or the whole villa can be rented as one. The hotel pays special attention to the environment. Single-use plastics are shunned. Soap and drinking fountains made from natural ingredients are also used for this purpose.
