Human resources minister holds talks with Turkish, Maltese counterparts
Budapest, November 6 (MTI) – The Hungarian human resources minister held bilateral talks with ministers representing Turkey and Malta on the sidelines of the Demography Forum in Budapest on Friday.
Zoltan Balog told Aysen Gurcan, Turkey’s social and family affairs minister, that friendship with Turkey should help Hungary build good economic relations with that country and cultural relations should reflect esteem to one another.
The refurbishment of the turbeh of Gul Baba and its area is under way in Budapest in that spirit, Balog said, adding that with the project Hungary wants to express its esteem towards people of Muslim faith.
He proposed that Hungary and Turkey should work together in promoting family affairs in international organisations, for instance in the United Nations, which idea Gurcan supported.
Balog held talks with Michael Farrugia, Malta’s labour and welfare minister. They agreed on cooperation in family affairs to include exchange of experts in the area.
