VIDEO: Hungarian boat burned and sank, owner almost died

A Hungarian boat on River Tisza caught fire and burned down sinking into the waters yesterday evening. Tények, a Hungarian news broadcast service, shared a video about the accident. The owner could barely escape.

According to index.hu, the owner of a Hungarian boat could barely escape from the vessel and suffered injuries after it caught fire and started to burn near the beach of Rakamaz. The owner of the 12-metre-long boat suffered burns while trying to save his assets.

Firefighters had to be especially cautious since there were fuel tanks on board. Consequently, they separated them from the fire first. Another challenge for the firefighters was that the boat was accessible only through a narrow bridge. Unfortunately, they could not save the vessel. The fire consumed the boat which sank below water level.
