Hungarian official slams idea of migrants receiving voting rights?

Under section 7 of the European Union’s integration and inclusion action plan, immigrants “should be given voting rights”, and they should be involved in political decision making, foreign affairs State Secretary Tamás Menczer said in a video published on Facebook on Saturday.

The Hungarian government’s position is that “the fate of Hungarians should be determined by Hungarians only”, he said adding that such decisions “must not be made by Brussels or migrants”.
