Hungarian pavilion at Dubai Expo draws a million visitors
The Hungarian pavilion at the 2020 World Expo in Dubai has attracted one million visitors since the fair opened in October, the Hungarian Tourism Agency said on Monday.
The pavilion’s one millionth visitor was a Japanese woman who on Saturday received a gift pack of Hungarian products and a custom memorial certificate from Expo 2020 Magyarország Nonprofit managing director Andrea Tóth and ministerial commissioner Szabolcs Tatár, the agency told MTI.
Expo 2020 Dubai is only open for a few more days but the Hungarian pavilion remains highly popular, even making the list of Emirate magazine The National’s “Five fantastic pavilions you should not overlook”, the agency said.
The pavilion continues to attract up to 8,000-9,000 visitors a day, it added.
The Hungarian pavilion on Monday is organising a two-hour concert designed to bring the atmosphere of Hungarian festivals to the expo, the agency said.
Expo 2020 Dubai was postponed for a year because of the pandemic.
