Hungarian politician: Government’s stance on migration vindicated by Brussels shooting
Reality has once again vindicated the Hungarian government “and delivered a stinging slap in the face to Western politicians who want to shut their eyes and decide whom we should live together with from their well-protected offices in Brussels”, a lawmaker of the co-ruling Christian Democrats has said, referring to a deadly shooting in Brussels on Monday.
In a statement, István Simicskó, the party’s parliamentary group leader, cited reports of a suspected Tunisian gunman who killed two Swedish nationals in the Belgian capital.
“This time, two people fell victim to the terror fuelled by extremist religious hate,” Simicskó said, adding that families had lost their loved ones, and friends and communities were now mourning. It was with “this horrible act” that the terrorist “expressed his devotion to the Islamic State terrorist group,” he said.
Hungary resists migration pressure and has taken physical and legal steps to protect Christian Europe, the lawmaker said.
Hidvéghi: Mass migration poses life-threatening danger to European people
Fidesz MEP Balázs Hidvéghi said that mass migration poses a life-threating danger to European people, and called for immediately terminating talks in Brussels on the EU’s new migration pact and starting new talks on a whole new basis, on Tuesday.
The situation created by migration in Europe cannot be tolerated any more, he said. Migration must not be supported but stopped, border protection must be reinstalled and the security of Europeans must be guaranteed, Hidvéghi added.
He said that the recent “slaughtering of two people by an immigrant with a Kalashnikov” in Brussels and the stabbing of a teacher by an illegal migrant in a school in front of other teachers and students in France begged the question “how many more innocent Europeans will have to die to make the immigration-fanatics in Brussels stop pushing migration?”.
“It is now clear that illegal immigration poses a life-threating danger to ordinary law-abiding European citizens and endangers public security and the European lifestyle to a degree unseen before,” the MEP said.
“This must be stopped! Instead of expressing regret in the aftermath of the deadly acts and laying flowers, concrete steps must be taken to protect the life and everyday security of European people,” Hidvéghi said.

Absolutely. There’s a reason countries like Hungary, Poland, Czech Rep., Slovakia, etc. had practically zero not only terrorist attacks but violent anti-Semitic incidents. Also, it’s not “migration.” Hungary has plenty of migrants living here, including me. It’s ILLEGAL immigration. Hungary takes the very simple, very commonsense approach: no passport and visa, no entry, bye! It’s so straightforward and logical that it can be only through deliberate design that the Western countries do not do it also.
LOL that explains all the passports that our Politicians have issued to people claiming to be of Hungarian descent, without any scrutiny. Or is that somehow different? They are now free to roam Schengen – and access to all the benefits of being an EU Citizen.
Islamophobia is not the way out of this. Just because someone has a darker skin tone and a different set of beliefs does not make them dangerous. We will have Indonesian and Filipino bus drivers in Budapest from November, lots of Vietnamese, Chinese, Koreans in industry. “Should we be worried”? I should think not – however happy to be convinced, otherwise (facts and data, not just sentiment, please).
Then, there is the common conflation of Politicians of migrants (also the bus drivers, above), immigrants, illegal immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. Chinese Christians may have good cause to leave. Afghans not subscribing to their government’s interpretation of Islam. Kurds. Ukrainians. LGBTQ people living in fear (12 countries where the death penalty for such “behaviour” is punishable by death), people from the Gaza Strip who have been asked to evacuate, etc.. And then you leave everything behind with nothing but a Wizz Air carry on size bag.
Most citizens that left their country and moved abroad did not lose their citizenship. A German person living in the US will always be considered belonging to the fatherland. France and Great Britain had similar policy. There was no reason why Hungarians abroad ever lost their Hungarian citizenship, therefore, it makes sense for Hungary like other European nations to issue passports to citizens. DNA identifies Ex patriots still belonging to Hungary, this DNA is carried through generations, this DNA will always unite all Hungarians.
It is obvious that other countries’ citizens should only have the right to live in Hungary that applied legally and there is a need in the labor market for the particular skill. Uneducated, illegal and criminal migrants do not have the right to Hungarian residency.
It is important to mention that multiculturism failed. To date, Germany is still supporting a large % of the 2015 migrants. Crime rates have risen, and no-go zones appeared in countries accepting large number of migrants. These migrants brought their hate thereby endangering the Jewish population of Europe. Hungary, in particular, has a large number of Jewish population, cannot afford to have its citizens murdered since every Hungarian life is precious.
