Hungarian-Russian satellite space project kicked off
A unique Hungarian-Russian satellite space project is being launched on space weather research vital for earth life and civilization.
Hungary and Russia confirmed on February 2 this year that they have been launching a unique cooperation on the peaceful uses of outer space, reported MTI.
In the framework of collaboration, Hungary is given the opportunity to become the only international partner of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and Russian Space Research Institute (IKI) that run space mission projects developing key instruments and on-board units for space missions.
The Russian-Hungarian project, which is being developed jointly has the potential to revolutionize high-resolution scientific plasma physics measurements in the immediate vicinity of the Earth, giving enormous momentum to space weather research vital for earth life and civilization.
Several Hungarian institutes and space technology companies are involved in the project among them BHE Ltd., SGF Kft., BL-Electronics Kft.
