Hungary among countries offering fast internet
MTI.hu informs that the Hungarian mobile phone service providers offer users a download speed of 31.04 Mbps/sec, as opposed to 26.15 Mbps/sec of the previous year. Thus, Hungary stands at the third place, according to a report of Open Signal.
With 37.54 Mbps/sec, South Korea is at the top of the list, followed by Norway with 34.77 Mbps/sec. Singapore is in the fourth place with 30.05 Mbps/sec. When examining the average download speed, beside the speed of the 3G and 4G services, network availability was also taken into account.
MTI.hu also reports that connecting to a mobile network through wifi is still preferable in most of the countries. In this view, the Netherlands holds the first place, where the time rate of wifi usage is 68.53%, while in Hungary, it is only 53.02%. In 38 countries out of the 96 ones examined, the time rate of wifi usage is at least 50%.
The recent OpenSignal survey carried out between 1 November 2016 and 31 January 2017 included one million smart phone users, MTI notes. The measurement is carried out by the users themselves using the company’s free app wherever in the world.
