Hungary and its neighbors: where are fuel prices cheaper right now?

The Hungarian government is talking about war fuel prices, while the Central Statistical Office examined fuel prices in the region in May:
The ministry points out that the government has taken decisive action against wartime fuel prices, thanks to which Hungarian fuel prices have remained more favorable than in neighboring countries. The government is constantly working with fuel retailers to make sure that Hungarians can fill up their tanks at better prices than people in neighboring countries.
They explain that, according to data from the Central Statistical Office (KSH), domestic fuel prices in May were favorable compared to average prices in neighboring countries. The average monthly price of diesel fuel in Hungary was 584 forints, 4 forints cheaper than the average price of 588 forints in neighboring countries. The average price of 95 octane gasoline was 584 forints, which is 5 forints cheaper than the average price of 589 forints in neighboring countries.
The government remains committed to ensuring that Hungarian families and businesses enjoy stable, predictable and competitive fuel prices at domestic filling stations. Security of supply and price stability, which are of paramount importance to the national economy, remained a primary objective in May.
The Ministry of National Economy confirms that domestic fuel prices remain competitive, and the favorable trend confirms the effectiveness of the ongoing dialogue and cooperation between the government and fuel retailers, which contributes to reducing the burden on Hungarian families and businesses.
The government is constantly monitoring international market developments and is prepared to take further measures, if necessary, to protect families and the economy. The goal remains unchanged: the Hungarian population should have access to fuel on terms that are favorable compared to neighboring countries, according to a statement from the Ministry of National Economy.
