Artisjus, Hungary’s copyright agency, has launched a campaign to aid Ukrainian musicians financially as well as express solidarity with Ukraine, the agency said on Wednesday.
Artisjus, which is an association of music composers, songwriters, authors, writers, poets and music publishers, is asking radio and television stations and other music providers to include Ukrainian songs in their channels’ playlists, it said in a statement. The agency also calls on its media partners, music programming editors and musicians to join the Songs for Ukraine campaign, as well as music lovers to listen to Ukrainian music on streaming services.
“The royalties will be allocated to the artists via local partners of Artisjus,”
it said.
Artisjus’s campaign has been joined by CISAC, the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers, the world’s leading network of authors’ societies.
