Hungary as the country of cheaters?

Searching for friends and potential girlfriends/boyfriends on the internet has been popular for a while now, but searching for lovers, and cheating on someone? It’s also becoming a trend. So much so that one of the Hungarian websites has recently registered its 100.000^th member, writes hvg.hu.

There’s a difference between spontaneous cheating and conscious cheating, when someone decides to cheat on their partner even before knowing the other person. Conscious cheaters have plenty of opportunities to search for secret lovers online, such as websites that were made for cheaters, special hideouts, dating apps, or even Facebook.

The 100.000^th member of a Hungarian website designed for cheaters was just registered in December 2015. If we know that Székesfehérvár has 98.000 residents, then this number does not seem to be small at all. After the scandal that went down last year when all the personal information of the biggest international cheating website was leaked, it became obvious that ten millions of people are being unfaithful. The website has 1.2 million members in England, and the number keeps growing in Hungary as well.

The Hungarian website delivered more than 3 million messages last year, and if we combine the time each member spent on the site, we can say that the members spent 30.000 days altogether being unfaithful in 2015, Viszony.hu’s data revealed.
