Hungary to promote businesses in western Ukraine with EUR 6.4m
Budapest, April 12 (MTI) – In 2016, the government will ensure a total 2 billion forints (EUR 6.4m) in grants to promote businesses in western Ukraine’s Transcarpathia (in Hungarian: Kárpátalja) region, according to a government decree published in the official Hungarian Gazette on Tuesday.
Distribution of the grants will be coordinated by Hungary’s foreign minister and the Hungarian Cultural Federation of Transcarpathia (Kárpátaljai Magyar Kulturális Szövetség).
The government has also proposed that Hungary’s Eximbank should use a total 20 billion forints to grant subsidised loans to businesses in Transcarpathia.
