Hungary’s first aroma spa hotel opens in Mecsek – PHOTOS

Taking advantage of the unique microclimate of the valley, the 77-room Ambient Hotel & AromaSpa**** focuses on scents. In addition to a wide range of indoor and outdoor thermal pools, wellness and spa services and a sauna park, the unique hotel offers its guests a refreshing selection of scents in the striking Mecsek Valley – writes the hotel’s website.

The ambient fragrance concept was developed by Zsolt Zólyomi, a Hungarian expert in the perfumery business, in 2014. Accordingly,

guests can enjoy the special fragrance experience not only in public spaces but also in the superior rooms.

Based on the hallway design, the sample placed by the door and the interior decoration, you can understand how your room has been scented. As a result, you can enjoy the smell of soothing lavender, deep woodland silence, heady chocolate or refreshing white flowers.

“Originally, each room had a fixed scent, but this was later changed. The diffuser, discreetly placed under the table, allows guests to change the scent pot flexibly, so they can try up to three different scents during a three-night stay if they wish. The fragrance can be selected in advance when booking the room online,” – revealed István Anisity, the hotel’s manager to the Hungarian news portal Turizmus. The scented room is, of course, slightly more expensive, with a 10% surcharge compared to the standard unscented rooms.

In addition to the special fragrance experience, the four-star hotel offers a wide range of relaxing and entertaining services.

The pools are filled with alkaline thermal spring water which is excellent for post-flu symptoms, joint problems, skin diseases and gynaecological disorders. In addition, guests can enjoy several adventure pools, massage pools, a wide range of massage treatments, body treatments and deep heat therapy treatments. The 30-32°C children’s and paddling pools offer exciting entertainment for the youngsters.

Moreover, the exclusive hotel has its own bowling alley, child and dog-friendly facilities and offers a special gastronomic experience.
