Hungary’s Homes Cheapest in Region
Budapest, September 24 (MTI) – Hungary’s household property market is the cheapest in central Europe, with an average price per square metre of 917 euros, according to consultancy Deloitte.
Deloitte’s latest property survey completed in 14 European countries, plus Russia and Israel, shows that the Czech Republic is the dearest in central Europe at 1,186 euros per sq/m.
At the other end of the scale are properties in Britain and France, where new builds can fetch 4,000 euros per sq/m.
Budapest, Lisbon and Warsaw are affordable, with properties costing 1,140 euros, 1,640 and 1,704 euros per sq/m, respectively. Naturally, properties in London and Paris are exorbitant.
