Hungary’s meteorological office warns of plunging temperatures – Icy pictures from Hungary
Budapest (MTI) – Extreme cold, stormy winds and snowdrifts are forecast for Hungary over the next few days, the National Meteorological Service said in a statement on Thursday.
Temperatures are expected to plunge to below -20 C tomorrow in eastern parts of the country. In counties further west and Budapest the mercury is expected to fall to below minus 15 C.

Overcast in the south-east, east and in far western areas, sunny elsewhere. Snow possible in far western parts. Northerly winds stormy in places.
