The government has decided to terminate Hungary’s membership of the International Investment Bank (IIB), the economic development ministry said on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the United States imposed sanctions on the Budapest-based bank and three of its senior executives resident in Hungary. The ministry said in a statement that whereas the Russia-backed IIB had played an important development role in central and eastern Europe, there was no sense in carrying on with its operations following the US sanctions. Hungary is withdrawing its officials from the IIB, it added. David Pressman, the US ambassador to Hungary, told journalists on Wednesday that sanctions applied to the “Budapest-based, Russia-controlled” bank and three of its senior executives resident in Hungary, including one Hungarian national, MTI wrote.
Before, the United States said they put Imre Lászlóczki, the Hungarian deputy chairperson of the IIB, on their latest sanctions list. The step means Mr Lászlóczki will not be able to enter the USA, nor would he be able to do business or even acquire his bank accounts there. Szabad Európa wrote that was just the warm-up: multiple sanctions against Hungarian officials are in the pipe in Washington.
Here is Mr Lászlóczki:

So – the long and short of it: sanctions work? Our Politicians woke up and smelled the coffee. Newsworthy.
Orban thinks and acts like he is the leader of a super-power so maybe he should impose sanctions on the US….LOL
America is a bully, plain and simple. This is not about the rights and wrongs of Russia’s despicable acts in Ukraine; many have done far worse with impunity because they’re America’s buddies (e.g. Saudi in Yemen). This is about jerking small countries around and showing who’s boss, at the behest of the globalist-socialist cabals and the military-industrial complex, both of which are salivating at the prospect of a major, widespread war breaking out. Despicable.
Documents leaked in the US contained bad news. Ukraine is not winning the war. The western media lied. If sanctions would have worked, there would be no need to expand them. If sanctions have worked there would not be any need to supply Zelensky with another 14 billion. It is time to end the nonsense. Bullying Hungary will not save Ukraine. Supplying more weapons will only expand and extend the length of the war. It is time to end this nonsense. It is time to try a revolutionary policy “peace talks”. Only peace will save the remaining people of Ukraine.
Sounds to me like the Biden regime (cabal/WEF) feel they are losing power. The power of the dollar. BRICS is stronger, more inventive, and creative, and all those enemies the US made are making one front.
I wonder why there is an American embassy and an ambassador in Hungary.
US’s reign is over.
The aggressive warmongering US is bullying another small country again.
The globalist elite who controls US foreign politics and the liberal left political traitors from within are the biggest enemies of the European nations since 1945.
Yes, yes, let’s turn away from the West, leave the EU and NATO, turn East to Putin and bring back the “good” old days.
And after all that is done, dear PM please bring back PRO/ÁVO/ÁVH to protect us all from the evil West, the warmongering US, the NGOs who’ve invaded this country, all the Soroses of this world, nasty illegal migrants, the opposition parties, the remaining free press, and etc, etc.
