ITH investing EUR 70 m in bus production in Debrecen
Debrecen, March 31 (MTI) – InterTanker Holding (ITH) has started building a 20 million euro bus plant, complemented with a training and development centre, in Debrecen in eastern Hungary, and it will build an even bigger, 50 million euro plant on the edge of the city, chairman-CEO György Kossa said at a press conference on Friday.
The smaller plant will turn out an annual 200 buses by the end of this year, while the bigger one will produce 700-800 buses a year from the second half of 2018, in partnership with Daimler unit EvoBus, Kossa said. The investments will create 475 jobs, he added.
The government will make a 12 percent contribution to the construction of the bigger bus plant, state secretary Bence Tuzson said.
