Johnny Depp is shooting in Hungary, here is where you can see him

The world-famous actor is shooting in Budapest, near the Károlyi Garden.

A reader of telex.hu spotted that world-famous actor Johnny Depp is directing the film Modi. The movie will be about the adventures of sculptor Amedeo Modigliani in Paris. The streets where the shooting takes place are decorated as if we were in the French capital in the 1910s. The film tells the story of how Modigliani, a self-proclaimed failure played by Riccardo Scamarcio, takes out his frustration by smashing up an elegant restaurant in 1916. He then goes into hiding from the police, aided by his painter friends. The film also stars Al Pacino as another art collector, Maurice Gangna, who will soon be seen in Budapest.

In the area around the Károlyi Garden, pedestrians are sometimes allowed to cross the streets used during filming so that they can take photos of Depp. You can see reader photos here.

Johnny Depp was also in the Hungarian capital this summer. He was due to perform with his band Hollywood Vampires, which he founded with Alice Cooper, but the gig was cancelled on the day of the concert.

In addition to Johnny Depp, Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd are currently in Hungary. They are filming Death of a Unicorn near Lake Balaton.
