Katinka Hosszu chosen best female swimmer of the year
Budapest/Doha, December 2 (MTI) – Hungarian swimming star Katinka Hosszu was chosen the best female swimmer of the year by FINA, the international swimming association, in Doha, on Monday evening.
At a gala event in Qatar, Hosszu’s name was read out by Sheikh al-Thani. Hosszu (25) won three golds, one silver and two bronze medals at the Berlin European Championships. She broke five world records at the World Cup. The FINA 25m World Swimming Championships is held in Qatar from Dec 3 to 7.
