Lake City – The largest luxury residential investment in Budapest starts soon!

Change language:
So far, the Belgian company, Atenor, has been known for its office buildings in Hungary; however, the company has now entered the housing market as well with a gigantic high-quality project of more than 1,300-apartments in the southwestern part of Budapest.
After several years of preparation, the company is proud to present its latest investment, the so-called Lake City in South Buda.
The luxury project will be carried out in the 11th district of the Hungarian capital, one of the most popular residential districts of Budapest.
As the Hungarian news portal Portfolio reports, as its slogan “Acting for Cities” says, Atenor’s philosophy is to understand cities and explore and serve them with all the related sciences. The company intends to be differentiated from competitors with their size, quality and density of construction of apartments, satisfying the colourful demand of potential customers. Of course, this means a more expensive solution, as the cost per square meter of living space will be slightly higher, as far fewer apartments will be built in a given area. However, this leaves a much larger space for green areas, along with a small river and a lake, representing a completely different quality.
As Atenor.eu reports, after the UP-SITE BUCAREST project in Romania, LAKE CITY in Budapest is the second residential projects that Atenor intends to develop in Central Europe. The project implementation will start with year-long land development, planning the exact number and position of the buildings to be built. As a result of the value-added process, the land price will increase drastically, at least double that of its current value.

All these new ‘luxury’ houses, yet nothing is done about transport infrastructure – totally old fashioned reliance on cars, no modernisation or upgrade of roads. Fake luxury for plastic people – money launderers and corrupt officials.
I am surprised that they are building apartments instead of condos. Condo ownership lets people use their money to invest in themselves to some degree while apartments just take and take and years down the road people have nothing to show for years of work/income. With a brand new development at least they can ensure that all units are ‘aging in place’ & accessible units. That means no uneccasary dividing doors, but not necessarily open concept. Toilets and showers need to be easy to get around to clean and also for people who need mobility assistance like walkers, motorized wheel chairs or caregivers to get them on/off and in/out. Lower light switches but higher wall outlets. Really good lighting & no decor that looks like a zebra got skinned & pasted on the walls or floor. People with bad eyesight, ADHD, other similar issues must not have over shiny, busy or confusing detailing to stay safe. With both obesity & a high rate of seniors in Hungary developments need to ensure that people 15 yrs down the road can still live in comfort & safety. Citizens & politicians need to insist on this for those loved ones who will survive Covid but need to live closer to all healthcare services that large centers offer. And public transportation! Park settings to ensure people stay active, get outside and prosper rather than develop dementia thru loneliness.
