The buses will be replaced by more modern types equipped with air-conditioners and low-floor decks to serve even those passengers who struggle with disabilities.
Here is your chance to get nostalgic on a legendary Hungarian bus
Between 17 and 20 November, you will still be able to have a last ride on the legendary Ikarus 280 high-floor buses in Budapest, iho.hu, a Hungarian transport news website, wrote. Do not miss the chance, they recommend.
The Budapest Transport Company (BKK) will allow passengers to travel on high-floor buses between Thursday and Sunday. The last occasion Ikarus 280 buses commute in Budapest according to the timetable will be this Friday. However, there will be additional high-floor models driving around the city to get us in a nostalgic mood.
