Global technical athletic brand lululemon (NASDAQ:LULU) continues to expand its international presence with the launch of its first store in Hungary, opening on 31 March 2026 in Budapest’s iconic Fashion Street at Deák Ferenc Street 19. As the country’s premier shopping destination, Fashion Street blends historic architecture and heritage landmarks with a modern retail environment, welcoming tens of thousands of local and international visitors each day, making it an ideal location for lululemon’s debut in the country.
The new store will introduce lululemon’s innovative athletic apparel and accessories to Hungarian guests for the first time. The space will offer the brand’s men’s and women’s collections across yoga, running, training, tennis, golf, and everyday performance wear, all designed through lululemon’s distinctive approach to technical innovation, functionality, and elevated style. lululemon products are crafted using proprietary technical fabrics and construction techniques developed to meet the needs of guests across a wide variety of activities, supporting both performance and comfort.

Strategic growth across Europe
The Budapest opening is part of lululemon’s continued international growth and market expansion strategy. In 2026, the brand plans to enter five new markets in Europe through its franchise partnership model. In addition to Hungary, lululemon will launch in Greece, Austria, Poland, and Romania in partnership with Arion Retail Group. Hungarian guests will also be able to shop the full range of lululemon products online.

Building community in Budapest
lululemon’s entry into Hungary marks more than a retail milestone, it reflects the brand’s dedication to cultivating meaningful community connections. To celebrate its Budapest opening, lululemon will host a series of community-focused activations and partnerships, including:
- collaborations with local fitness and yoga studios
- an ambassador program featuring local athletes and instructors
- community-powered movement events and running club partnerships that support both physical and mental wellbeing.
The official opening will take place on March 31, with special surprises planned for early guests. Further details about accompanying events and future activations will be announced soon.
