Manager Cup celebrates 20th anniversary in Tata
This year marked the 20th anniversary of the Manager Cup, one of Hungary’s most prestigious golf tournaments and social gatherings. Traditionally held every September, the exclusive, invitation-only event was hosted in 2025 by the scenic Old Lake Golf Club in Tata.
More than 300 guests attended, including executives from Hungarian and international companies, partners, sponsors, and several foreign ambassadors.
The main focus of the Manager Cup remained the promotion of golf: professional instructors introduced newcomers to the sport, while beginners could also take part in a putting competition with valuable prizes offered by the sponsors.
Entertainment and the Manager Cup
The event was designed for the whole family. Children enjoyed a wide range of activities, from bouncy castles and electric toy cars to horseback riding, archery lessons, and airsoft shooting. Mercedes-Benz showcased its latest car models, which guests were able to test on site.
For those who wished to explore beyond the golf course, a mini-train ride offered a sightseeing tour of Tata, presenting the town’s most beautiful landmarks. Meanwhile, the culinary side of the program featured a festive lunch prepared with products from the partners, along with a variety of delicacies to delight the guests.

The event’s chief organizer, István Bárány, highlighted the success of the anniversary edition:
“The 20th Manager Cup turned out to be a truly memorable event. We were fortunate with the weather, and both golf enthusiasts and families found programs to enjoy. It’s wonderful to see that after two decades, guests still return with the same enthusiasm.”
The 20th Manager Cup proved once again that sport, business networking, and family-friendly entertainment go hand in hand — showing that golf is not only a competitive sport, but also a community-building experience.
