In September 2025, the average gross monthly wage for full-time employees stood at 687 100 forints (EUR 1,786), while the net average salary reached 475 100 forints (EUR 1,235). The median net wage a smidgen over 1,000 Euros a month is especially unappealing in 2025. It wouldn’t be so bad if living costs remained genuinely low but they’re not.
